Hello! So, I finally had the opportunity to catch up with my grandparents in New York over Christmas (woof; so belated). Back in high school, I did a photographic series on my grandfather when I was first beginning to explore portraiture. He's a character, personally and aesthetically- a bearish guy with tremendous enthusiasm and a propensity towards deprecating humor. He has a pleasant comfort in front of the camera; he's never apparently perturbed by the constant snapshots or is at ease with the intimacy of a close portrait. I'd forgotten the extent to which I enjoy photographing him, and even spending time together. It was gorgeous to wander around the yard, hearing his stories and shooting some photos. Hope you all enjoy!
