Nungwi, Zanzibar

After a couple of days in Stone Town, my friend Carsten and I made our way to the northernmost tip of Zanzibar, Nungwi. The town has plenty of luxury resorts and touristy spots, but we managed to find a cheap place directly on the beach. The sand is the whitest I've ever encountered, and water is stunningly calm and clear-- totally different to the aggressive waves of the Atlantic I'm used to back home. We spent the majority of our time reading on the beach, exploring the village and eating coconut curry in town.
